The roman Bathes
The bathes had different slots, or time slots, for women and men. The women's time slot was much shorter then the mens. Inside the Romans Bathes was a workout room, steam room, towel stores, and haircut places. Kids and slaves were not allowed to use the bathes. The smaller public bathes could hold 300 people, but the bigger ones could hold 500. Caracalla was the emperor who built the Romans bathes. Almost everyone in Rome hated him so to make up for it he built the Roman bathes. The bathes would stay warm because underneath the bathes were hot fires. Slaves would have to shovel coal into the fire to keep the fire going. The bathes took 10 years to build which was very fast. The Roman bathes were important because the Romans needed to stay clean and it was an advancement in technology that helps us today. If Caracalla hadn't built the bathes then who knows if we would have bathes today.
